Stereotypes (II)

stereotypes (ii) i ask the artless at heart who a poet is with a straight face, he replied: ''poets are people who live in a world different from all others- a world of angst, drama, romance, always talking in rhymes, imagery, ironies and always in a state of deep thought. they never just say what they mean nor mean what they say when they write of love they mean lust when they write of death, they glow pray tell, if this isn't madness, what is?'' he shrugged this is true of you if the market woman can't relate with your poetry #Pengician #SSA   Enjoyed reading? Stereotypes (I)

stereotypes (i) poet: pompous synonym for fool, dreamer. poetry: entirely useless; out of date. [because stereotypes are funny] but if you read between the lines, you'd see some truth in it. some poets day dream in the night and have nightmares in the day there are poets whose poetry induce sleep they sometimes leave the artless snoring, their poems, a perfect definition of boring, [because stereotypes are somewhat true] #Pengician #SSA   Enjoyed reading? My Poetry And I

A friend once threw a certain question I dread, at me. She asked 'who is Stefn?' What I meant to say is, all the five senses of smell, touch, hearing, taste, sight along with other perceptions such as balance, feelings, etc.. are to be expressed in a single medium(Words) but should arouse al...

She Is Poetry - Stefn Sylvester Anyatonwu

SHE IS POETRY I know a girl who would kill herself for a dare  I know a girl who would bleed for the truth I know a girl who has words  on her body tattooed like a scroll rat eaten Every page a tale From the head to the tail. She finds herself face to face with herself in the mirror of words. I know a girl who could make you eat your heart out  on a gold platter  With silver lines Hinged on rhymes. I know a girl who laughs in the face of danger  That jail sentence is supposed to scare her  But with words she twist their arms. Is that an echo?  I hear someone talking back I am her priest, she's the temple. She's my patch when I begin to crack. Haunting memories on my stacks. She tells me what I lack Adventure devoid of blames Hunger games What's in a name? Maybe the feelings I try to maintain. To only feel love in moments of hate Set fire to surroundings as I instigate Sting. Heal. Devastate. Right wrongs we create. She tosses a ball to me "It's in your...
