POEM 258: WILL A BOY EVER LIVE HIS FANTASIES?
a boy is like a piece of rag;
dirty and yearning to be washed.
he's like a mold of clay;
formless and yearning to take shape.
he's like a fertile land;
uncultivated and yearning to be tiled.
he's like floating cloud;
heavy and yearning to downpour.
he's a dream:
sleeping and yearning to come through.
will a boy ever live his fantasies?
