POEM 303: SELF APPRAISAL
Some times, I like to think I'm a hair of the Father.
Co-hair with Christ and Afrocentric in all sense of it
Other times, I like to think I'm a beautiful face,
drawn in shades of grey
by an artless dame.
In between these times,
I like to be the best version of myself,
living up to no standards of men,
loving until all is spent,
learning, unlearning, relearning.
Aye, this is not a poem.
